After a Covid-19 global pandemic, Nhra Drag Racing will come back with big events in mid-July. They restart its Mello Yello Drag Racing Series with two events which will be played on consecutive weekends at the most popular track Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis.

The two competitions take place in the back to back weeks from 11 to 12 July and from 18 to 19 July in the newly sponsored Denso Spark Plugs Nhra US Nationals which play as the starting point for 15 further events of the Nhra Mello Yello Drag Racing Series That will start two weeks later in Seattle. 

The season will conclude with the Final race Auto Club Nhra, which will begin from 13-15 November 2020 at the Auto Club Raceway in Pomona.

Nhra President Glen Cromwell said that we are enthusiastic that our Mello Yello series will start again, it is not only for racers and fans but also for each and every individual who loves and supports Nhra Drag Racing.

The Nhra revised schedule 2020 will comprise of total 19 events, from which 17 events will be played after resumes series in July. The initial four competitions such as two Indianapolis events Flav-R-Pac Nhra Northwest Nationals in Seattle and Dodge Mile-High Nhra Nationals presented by Pennzoil will be live telecast on Fox Channel as well as on LiveNhraRacing.com.

The 2020 revised schedule Mello Yello Drag Racing Series 16 events shortened to two-day competition because of economic and logistical reasons. This includes two qualifying rounds on Saturday and the final elimination will start on Sunday.

2020 Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season many events such as Norwalk, Chicago, Richmond, Epping, Ohio, Va.; Sonoma, N.H., Calif., and the spring events in Las Vegas and Charlotte, N.C was canceled due to coronavirus pandemic. Previously canceled event Nhra Southern Nationals in Atlanta will be back in August on the 2020 schedule.
